ERCIM Fellowship Programme
ERCIM — the European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics — organizes 18-month-fellowships for young scientist from around the world. Participants of this program get the opportunity to join a member institution of ERCIM during nine months and a second one for another nine months. Salaries are paid partly by national science funding institutions of the hosting country, partly by the hosting institution itself. Travel costs can be paid by ERCIM.
Young scientists who want to apply for an ERCIM Fellowship get all the necessary information from the special ERCIM Fellowship Programme Webpage.
The Swiss Member organization of ERCIM is SIRA. Therefore only SIRA members are able to host ERCIM fellows in Switzerland. The number of 9-months-fellowships in Switzerland is limited to two per year. (They are paid 50% by the Swiss National Foundation, 25% by SIRA funds, and 25% by the institution of the hosting SIRA member). SIRA members who plan to host an ERCIM fellow should contact Prof. Pierre Kuonen, member of the SIRA Board for additional information. There are prefixed deadlines for all ERCIM fellowship applications: 30 April and 30 September.
